The event proposes a dialogue among parliamentarians from Brazil, at both federal and subnational levels, and from the Global South, to reflect on the strategic role of the legislative branch in the international climate agenda and in consolidating models of inclusive, transparent, and effective governance. Aligned with the COP30 Action Agenda and the spirit of Belém+10, the panel aims to outline a vision for the next decade of international climate governance, fostering a dialogue on how to strengthen democratic institutions, close implementation gaps, and advance climate solutions through multilateralism. The discussion will explore how parliaments can help enhance transparency and accountability mechanisms, creating political and regulatory conditions that drive green investments and ensure just and inclusive transitions.
