We are seeking to organize a panel discussion in which experts from the government, academia, and civil society can participate to analyze the challenges involved in implementing the National Climate Change Adaptation Policy (ADAPTA-MX). The plan is to begin the panel with brief presentations by the participants, followed by a discussion guided by specific questions that will focus primarily on the institutional, financial, and technical obstacles Mexico faces in moving from the regulatory framework to the implementation of actions involving federal, state, and municipal levels of government.

The panel’s main objective is to identify best practices for achieving effective intersectoral coordination, securing climate finance, and developing monitoring indicators, as well as to propose practical recommendations

Moderator: (TBC) Alicia Bárcena Ibarra, Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources, (SEMARNAT).
