Green industrial policy is central to economic statecraft, linking competitiveness with decarbonisation. Yet developing economies face constraints in finance, technology and market access, while fragmented policies risk higher transition costs and green protectionism. This panel explores how green industrialisation can reconcile competitiveness and emissions reduction through regional cooperation.

The discussion will examine regional value chains, green standards, environmental goods trade, green public procurement, shared MRV, cross-border clean energy, Article 6 cooperation, and responses to measures such as the EU CBAM. Lessons from Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America will inform pathways to mobilise investment and reduce fragmentation.

The moderated panel will feature five-minute interventions, followed by dialogue among policymakers, industry and experts, and audience Q&A. It aims to generate practical recommendations for competitive, resilient, low-carbon industrialisation.

Moderator: Dandy Rafitrandi. Senior Researcher and Project Director at Decarbonization for Development (DfD) Lab, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Indonesia.
