Despite growing recognition of the need for integrated approaches to address climate change, the role of culture in systemic transformation remains underexplored. In 2024, C de Cultura and Outra Onda Conteúdo, in technical partnership with Instituto Veredas, launched the groundbreaking research project Cultura e Clima, which provided evidence on how culture can catalyze climate action.

In 2025, the second phase — in collaboration with the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS) — conducted original research to understand how Brazilians perceive the role of cultural heritage, the arts, and creative industries in communication and social mobilization for climate action. The panel will present the key findings of this investigation, analyzing the connection between cultural relevance in Brazilians’ lives, climate awareness, and pro-climate attitudes. It will conclude with an open discussion on policies and strategies to strengthen culture’s contribution to building resilient, territory-based societies. A short artistic performance and informal reception will close the session.
