Over the past year, Aurora Lab brought together almost 120 energy workers in different cities across Brazil to co-create proposals for a truly just transition. The voices and ideas of these workers serve as the foundation for this proposal, as they offer insights about pathways ahead for the Brazilian perspective. At the same time, workers from other parts of the world are facing the same processes and finding their own answers and pathways ahead.
This panel invites a multistakeholder conversation that will bring together partners and representatives from the field to explore pathways that align the energy transition with the future of work in the energy sector, ensuring economic prosperity for workers while meeting climate goals. The aim is to highlight solutions rooted in the voices of those on the frontlines of the transition, identify opportunities for national and international cooperation, and reaffirm the centrality of decent work to ensure the transition is, indeed, just.
