16:15 to
17:15

This panel will gather experts, public representatives, and civil society members from various Latin American countries to debate integrated strategies for combating organized environmental crime in the Amazon and promote regional cooperation. Key objectives include positioning the fight against organized environmental crime as a central, non‐negotiable pillar of the global climate agenda, demonstrating the importance of regional cooperation in the Amazon to confront it, reduce emissions, and protect biodiversity. Such a cooperation is also key to coordinating actions to scale NbS, de-risk, attract, and sustain investment. Lessons from the Amazon will also provide insights for tackling organized environmental crimes and attracting large-scale climate finance in other tropical basins.
