The Socio-Environmental Platform / BRICS Policy Center will launch the Global South Climate Ambition Observatory, a new initiative that broadens the Global South’s perspective on climate action dynamics. Combining qualitative and quantitative data, the initiative offers accessible and evidence-based analyses to inform public debate, policymaking, and civil society engagement in climate governance. The session will include a discussion with experts on the challenges and opportunities for advancing climate ambition in the Global South, exploring current progress and pathways for stronger action. The event will be held in English, with simultaneous translation into Portuguese.
