Turning the Roadmap into action for prosperity and climate security

At COP30, the Baku to Belém Roadmap will be launched, outlining recommended actions for mobilization of $1.3T in climate finance. In addition, the Roadmap process has already delivered a Report by the Circle of Finance Ministers. This side event will convene key stakeholders to discuss how to translate the Roadmap into action and to define next steps beyond COP30. In today’s complex geopolitical and geoeconomic context, new alliances and innovative approaches will be essential to deliver on climate and development goals while safeguarding economic security.

Objectives:

• Convene key stakeholders in the implementation of the Roadmap and the Circle Report to discuss how to translate them into action and to define next steps beyond COP30.
• Enhancing the momentum of the Roadmap and the Circle report for renewed action for investment mobilization in support of prosperity and climate security.
• Taking forward the systemic approach to investment mobilization anchored in the 5 priorities of the Circle Report, especially the work on Country Platforms and the focus on the wider international ecosystem in enabling and incentivizing country action.
